Education
We build software for education providers — learning platforms, student administration and the integrations that stop staff re-entering the same data in three systems.

01Overview
What we see in this sector
Education technology has a distinctive constraint: three very different user groups, one system. Students want speed and mobile access, teaching staff want the admin burden reduced, and administration needs data complete enough to report on.
Designing for one group at the expense of the others is the common failure. A learning platform that teaching staff avoid produces incomplete data, which makes the reporting unreliable, which makes the whole system a compliance exercise instead of a tool.
Accessibility is also non-negotiable here, both legally and practically — a platform students cannot use is not a platform.
02Challenges
Where it usually hurts
Duplicate data entry
Staff entering the same information into the SIS, the learning platform and a spreadsheet.
Low adoption
Tools that add work rather than removing it, so usage becomes partial and data becomes unreliable.
Accessibility gaps
Platforms that fail assistive technology, excluding students and creating legal exposure.
Reporting effort
Statutory returns assembled manually from systems that were never integrated.
03Our approach
What we put in place
Integrated student data
One authoritative record synchronised across systems, so information is entered once.
Learning platforms staff will use
Designed around teaching workflow, with marking and feedback reduced to the minimum viable steps.
Accessible by design
WCAG 2.2 AA across student-facing services, validated with assistive technology rather than assumed.
Automated reporting
Statutory and internal returns generated from source data with a clear audit trail.
05Technology
What we typically build with
- Frontend02
Next.js
Server rendering and routing for products where load time is a business metric.
React
The default for interfaces that need to stay maintainable past their first year.
- Backend02
Node.js
Shared language across the stack; strong fit for I/O-heavy services and BFFs.
Python
Data pipelines, ML services and automation where library depth wins.
- Cloud & DevOps01
AWS
Broadest managed-service catalogue; our default unless an estate dictates otherwise.
- Data01
PostgreSQL
The default relational store. Correct, extensible, and boring in the best way.
06Outcomes
What clients typically see
Once
Data entered once, not three times
WCAG 2.2 AA
Verified with assistive technology
Automated
Statutory returns from source data
Mobile
Student services that work on a phone
