Engineering capacity for product companies — extending your team without diluting the standards it works to.
Solution
We fix cloud estates that migrated without modernising, and run migrations for organisations that have not started — in both cases beginning with infrastructure as code.
“We moved to the cloud and our costs went up, deployments are still manual, and nobody can recreate production.”
01Overview
The common outcome of a lift-and-shift is the same architecture, running on rented hardware, at a higher monthly cost and with a new set of operational unknowns.
The fix is not another migration. It is establishing the foundations that were skipped: infrastructure defined in code, a deployment pipeline anyone can run, and cost attributed to the teams that incur it.
Once production can be recreated from a repository, everything else becomes tractable. Disaster recovery is a rehearsal instead of a plan. Cost optimisation is a pull request. Scaling is configuration.
02The problem
A monthly bill nobody can attribute, with no clear link between cost and the teams driving it.
Production configured by hand over years, with staging that differs in ways nobody has documented.
Releases that require a specific person, a runbook and a maintenance window.
A disaster recovery plan on paper that has never been executed end to end.
03The approach
What is running, what it costs, what nothing depends on, and where the waste concentrates.
Existing environments brought under Terraform so they become reviewable and reproducible.
CI/CD with automated testing, progressive rollout and one-command rollback.
Metrics, logs, tracing and alerting that identify causes rather than only announcing symptoms.
Right-sizing, autoscaling, tagging policy and a recurring cost review your team can run.
